  • Carnegie Mellon's Center for Technology Transfer and Enterprise Creation will be co-hosting a networking event with Entrepreneurial Thursdays on March 20. This event will focus on robotics entrepreneurial endeavors, but is a good networking event for any entrepreneurs or aspiring entrepreneurs with CMU connections.

For the first time ever top executives from five major entrepreneurial support organizations will participate in a panel discussion around the theme, "Where Do We Go From Here?"     Join regional professionals for the first conference in the Pittsburgh area to address the current and future workforce shortage within science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers. Hear from keynote speaker Dr. Mae Jemison, a model for the importance of STEM careers. Jemison earned the distinction of becoming the first African-American woman to enter space when she served as a mission specialist aboard the Shuttle Endeavor in 1992. Breakout sessions provide employers with information on existing Pittsburgh STEM programs and how their companies can get involved. Drive regional growth during working sessions to create action plans to help educators inspire students to pursue STEM careers.
